Hi ! My name is Elésiane Huve. I usually go by the nickname Aliciane, and I'm a freelance illustrator.

I am a French digital painter who loves creating realistic, highly-detailed, fantastic and historical illustrations for all ages. I can create custom artworks for your book, your game, or just make a painting for your personal use. I also like answering questions about my tools, my process or talking about art in general.

Just send me an email at I'm looking forward to talking with you :)

I'll be moving to Austin, Texas this January ! Does any of you know a bit about the area ? Any info or practical tip to share about the US in general ? :D
(For those of you who don't know me a lot, I am French, so this will be quite a big move :XD: ).
Thank you so much for the (almost !) 700 watchers everyone !
Quick tip : I often see people wondering about which canvas size to use.
Personally, I like to paint at 25% or 33% zoom. To paint some smaller details in the focal area I sometimes zoom to 50%, but not any closer.
So my canvas is usually at least 3 times bigger than the size I want my painting to be viewed at :)
Quick tip : To give a clean look to my artworks, just before I upload a painting, I resize it to about 1000px (tall for landscapes, wide for portraits) and apply a sharpening filter. In Krita, it can be found under "Filter -> Enhance -> Sharpen" :)
What do you use status for ? This may sound silly but I've never used this function until now, so I could use some help :D
What do you share through a status and through a journal ? What do you think is the ideal length for a status ? :)
Scarred - Network Version by Aliciane

I'm back \o/ And hem, I injured myself with a vegetable peeler and got a nasty cut on the eyebrow... @_@

If you're wondering how the hell does one hurt its eyebrow while peeling a carrot, I actually hurt my thumb and lifted my arm very quickly in reaction, thus hitting my face with my own hand, still holding the peeler. This is how...
I had to go to the hospital and I got a couple of stitches. It will maybe leave me a scar, just above my left eye.

So, sorry for the crappy sketch, that's just me telling myself that at least I'll join a couple of badass characters in the scarred left eye club x)
(Oh, and if you know about other characters, go ahead XD)
