Evelyn

This painting represents a character of a story I started to write. Evelyn is born in a very rich and strict family, but she dreams of liberty. The dove is here to remind of her dreams of freedom. In the novel, Evelyn has disappeared, and the main character has to find her. This portrait of Evelyn at the age of 16 is all he has to recognize her. So this is supposed to be the real painting from my story As it is supposed to be a "real" portrait, I wanted it to have a very classical look; I tried to mimic old masters such as Elizabeth Vigee Lebrun and Adelaïde Labille Guiard.
